WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS?

Fees for psychological assessments can vary depending on the assessments and your child's needs. Contact us for more information regarding costs and your child's needs.

CAN I CLAIM A REBATE FROM MY PRIVATE HEALTH?

Most private health insurers do not cover psychological assessments. Depending on your level of cover and insurer, counselling sessions may be covered. Please contact your private health insurer to find out more.

CAN I CLAIM A REBATE FROM MEDICARE?

Unfortunately psychological assessments are not covered by Medicare.

Call us for more details regarding claiming back for counselling appointments. 

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY DOCTOR?

You do not need a referral for psychological assessments. Contact us via email or phone and we can discuss any questions you may have.

If you wish to see one of our Psychologists for counselling and are able to obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP then a rebate of $89.95 is able to be claimed through Medicare. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from the GP clients are able to access up to 10 subsidised counselling sessions per calendar.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TYPE OF ASSESSMENT MY CHILD NEEDS?

We are happy to discuss your childs strengths and weaknesses and guide you in decision making as to whether an assessment is required or not. Some children may not benefit from an assessment and in those circumstances our psychologists will recommend that your child does not require an assessment.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

Free parking can be found behind the practice and street parking is also available.
