Specific Learning Disorder in Writing (Dysgraphia)
A Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) in Writing (also commonly referred to as Dysgraphia) is diagnosed by assessing a child's cognitive ability, and their achievement in spelling and writing.
An assessment of SLD in Writing will consist of:
Parent initial consultation
Teacher interview (via phone)
Rapport session with child
Cognitive assessment (verbal)
Achievement assessment- spelling and writing
Liaison with teachers and other health professionals as required
